October MOB Wrap-Up: Celebrating New Beginnings, Self-Care for Mums, and Building Financial Confidence

Hey Mobster Mums! ✌️

It’s Mob Co-Founder, G here! I hope you are all doing well?

Each month I will share a few highlights of what’s been going on with The MOB! Here is October’s wrap up, and I’ve got to say, it was pretty damn awesome!

But first, the really big one - I am beyond thrilled to share some incredible news with you all – MOB Co-founder B recently welcomed her beautiful baby girl, Vesper, into the world! Yes, that adorable pair of tiny feet in the photo? 100% real and belongs to our newest (and smallest) mobster! B had a speedy delivery, and both mum and baby are doing wonderfully. Can you believe it feels like just last week I was with B at the chemist getting that pregnancy test? Time really does fly!

Here’s a heartwarming message from B herself:

“Hi mobsters! We welcomed a tiny bundle into the world on the 11th! I went into labour at 3 am, spent the morning strolling in the sunshine at Hollow Ponds, and had my contractions outside M&S, munching on bourbons. By the time I made it to the hospital, little Vesper arrived in triage – no time for a room! She’s a teeny one, so we’re focused on operation weight gain now. G, the MOB is thriving under your care! Can’t wait to see you all soon. B x”

We’re all so proud and overjoyed for B, and while she’s been busy bringing new life into the world, I’ve been here, growing our MOB community and working on some inspiring events with you amazing mobsters.

Here’s What We’ve Been Up To:

1. First Stokey Hangout: Connection, Coffee, and Confidence! ☕️

We kicked off our first Stokey hangout, in partnership with the amazing team at location location, and it was epic! So many new faces came together for a morning of coffee, biscuits, and deep conversation about everything from motherhood to business, careers, and that pesky imposter syndrome! Honestly, hearing how many of us struggle with self-doubt was an eye-opener, so we’re making it a focus for the next hangout. Join us on Wednesday, November 13, for a free 45-minute workshop dedicated to breaking down imposter syndrome. It’s time to unleash our full potential! rsvp here

2. Rest & Restore Session – Because Mums Need Self-Care Too 🌸

MOBster Eleonora, founder of Re-Set-Pause, led a relaxation session designed especially for busy mums. I’ll admit, even though I know the benefits of taking a moment to pause (it you don’t you can read more about it here), life gets in the way, right? This session gave me that crucial accountability to actually take time for myself. And let me tell you – it was heaven! We’ll be hosting more of these because the benefits are real and we all need that little nudge sometimes. It’s true what they say: you can’t pour from an empty cup.

3. MOB Surgery: Building Financial Security for You and Your Family 💸

Mobster Cara, founder of SEND Protect, hosted a powerful session on creating a financially secure future. Money can be an overwhelming topic, but Cara made it accessible and enlightening. With over 20 of us in attendance, we learned foundational steps to protect our families’ futures (and discovered that only one of us had a will in place!). Whether you’re a SEND parent or just wanting more financial stability, Cara’s got you covered – book a free chat with her here

What’s Coming Up Next? 🗓️

Stay tuned, because there’s more exciting events and resources on the horizon – including the MOB Blog launch, the platform where we’ll be sharing even more wellbeing, career and business support for mums building their dreams! There is also a new free Mums Who Build Strength, pre and postnatal gym class launching at Pure Muscles Gym if you’re a mum who is able to get to East London, get involved it’s amazing. We also have our next Stokey Hangout and Imposter Syndrome workshop plus online events including Capcut & Canva brand training and 60 minute Styling Workshop. You can check out the full schedule of events here.

We also now have a MOB WhatsApp community - it’s currently invite only as we’re striving to grow the community in a controlled way that is of true value to you. If you’d like to request to be involved or are interested to find out more, click here.

I hope everyone had a fabulous half-term break and are now settling back into some sort of routine. I’m really looking forward to seeing you soon.

And as always, feel free to reach out anytime – I love hearing from you all. Here’s to building this community together, one step at a time.
