The Big MOB Mum Meet-Up: London’s Ultimate Free Weekly Hangout for Mums Launches in Walthamstow, East London

Looking for a free mum meet-up in London that’s actually designed with you in mind? You’ve just found it.

Created by Mums Who Build, The Big MOB Mum Meet-Up is a brand-new weekly event launching on Friday 25th April at CRATE, 17&Central Walthamstow — and it’s already shaping up to be the go-to destination for mums looking for connection, inspiration, and a moment to just breathe (kids are of course welcome)

Whether you're on maternity leave, juggling school runs, or working flexibly — this is your space to reset and see what The MOB really is all about. It’s one of the few free events for mums in London where you can show up, feel seen, and leave buzzing.

Why This Mum Meet-Up Matters

Let’s be honest: most events are built around the baby. The Big MOB Mum Meet-Up is built around you.

This weekly mum hangout in East London is about creating a space where mums come first — to chat, grow, laugh, and rebuild after the intensity of new motherhood. Whether you’re local to Walthamstow or travelling in from across London (we’re right on the Victoria Line), this is the perfect excuse to claim your Friday mornings for yourself.

Designed by Mums, for Mums

The Big MOB Mum Meet-Up was inspired by our partnership with Mob Member Fiona Campbell, founder of Wee Movers — the creative dance class for babies, toddlers and beyond that’s become a community staple in East London.

As part of the event, MOB attendees receive 20% off Wee Movers sessions, which run in a room adjacent to the meet-up. It’s a brilliant optional extra to combine time for your little one and space for you. Sign into the MOB and head to the benefits page to get the discount code.

Weekly Wellbeing, Led by ELLE UK's Katie O'Malley

We’re proud to have Katie O’Malley, Digital Director at ELLE UK and founder of A Long Way To Go (ALWTG), as a core partner in the event. She’ll be leading the weekly wellbeing pillar, curating powerful conversations, guest speakers, and mini workshops that focus on postnatal wellbeing, confidence, and feeling like yourself again — without pressure to “bounce back.”

What You Can Expect Each Week

Held in the beautifully designed CRATE at 17&Central — right in the heart of Walthamstow — this is more than just a mum group. It’s a movement.
