Unlocking Your Potential: The Power of Consistent Action, Space, and Accountability

Hey Mobsters,

It’s Francesca here - The MOB’s resident Business mentor, mum, and exited tech founder. Sorry it has been a while, like many, I was hit hard by the stream of illnesses that just seem to be everywhere!

However, I have emerged stronger…..there is nothing like a good wave of illness to remind you to be grateful for the time you have and good health.

Having picked up the coaching pace, I wanted to share with you some powerful insights to help you on your business journey or towards achieving any meaningful goals.

First a reminder that success isn’t built in a day. It’s not the result of a single, groundbreaking idea or an overnight transformation. Instead, it’s the accumulation of small, consistent actions taken every single day. If you’re striving for meaningful progress in your career, business, or personal life, the key lies in showing up consistently, making time and space for action, and holding yourself accountable. Here’s how these three insights can transform your journey toward success.

1. The Power of Consistency

Consistency is the ultimate differentiator between those who achieve their goals and those who fall short. It’s easy to set grand ambitions, but without regular action, even the best plans remain just ideas. The most successful people understand that taking small, deliberate steps each day compounds over time, leading to extraordinary results.

Imagine training for a marathon. You don’t just wake up one morning and run 26.2 miles without preparation. Instead, you train daily, gradually increasing your endurance and strength. The same principle applies to any goal, whether it’s launching a business, improving your health, or writing a book. The secret isn’t in the bursts of motivation but in the disciplined daily actions that push you forward, even when inspiration wanes.

If you want to achieve your biggest goals, commit to consistent daily actions. Even when progress feels slow, trust that momentum is building. Success is found in the process, not just the outcome.

2. Making Time and Space for Action

One of the biggest reasons people struggle to be consistent is that they don’t create the time and space needed to focus on their goals. Life is busy, and without intention, urgent demands will always take precedence over important but non-urgent goals.

If you want to be consistent, you need to actively make room for action. This could mean setting aside 30 minutes each morning for strategic work, blocking out ‘non-negotiable’ time in your calendar, or creating an environment that minimises distractions. Many of the world’s highest achievers have strict routines and dedicated workspaces to support deep, focused work. You don’t need to overhaul your entire life, but a few small adjustments, like reducing screen time or prioritising key tasks first thing in the morning, can make a massive difference.

Making time isn’t about waiting for the perfect moment; it’s about intentionally designing your days to align with your ambitions.

3. Finding Accountability

The final piece of the puzzle is accountability. We are far more likely to follow through on our commitments when someone else is holding us accountable. Think about the difference between telling yourself you’ll go to the gym versus having a personal trainer waiting for you. That external accountability increases the likelihood of action.

There are many ways to build accountability into your goal-setting process. You can find an accountability partner, engage with a coach, or publicly commit to your goals (The MOB has an accountability WhatsApp group for exactly this!). Many high performers also use tools like progress tracking and regular check-ins to ensure they stay on track. The more you build systems of accountability, the less reliant you become on willpower alone. This is where coaching becomes a game-changer. A great coach doesn’t just help you set goals, they create the space for you to think clearly, make intentional decisions, and take consistent action. Coaching provides the structure, support, and accountability needed to turn ambitions into reality.

Many people struggle to carve out time for their big goals, not because they lack the desire but because they’re caught up in the whirlwind of daily life. A coach helps you step out of the noise, reconnect with what truly matters, and build a strategy for execution. Most importantly, they hold you accountable, ensuring that you stay committed even when challenges arise.

If you’re ready to take meaningful action towards your biggest goals, consider the power of coaching. It could be the difference between staying stuck and making your vision a reality.
