Happy New Year, Mobsters! An Exciting Year Ahead for Mums Who Build

Hi Mobsters, it’s Georgie here, co-founder of Mums Who Build. I hope you all had a fantastic break over the holidays. It’s the first week back after Christmas, the kids are back at school, and for the first time in what feels like weeks, I’ve got a bit of headspace to reflect, plan, and gear up for all the exciting things we have lined up for you in 2025!

First, a quick look back at December—what a whirlwind it was! I want to give a huge shoutout to Vic Binns for hosting an incredible styling Mobster Hangout. We talked about occasion wear, dressing to feel confident, and how style can empower us. It was such a fantastic session, and I know many of you walked away inspired to find your own unique style and wear it with pride.

We also held an online breathwork session, perfectly timed to ease the stress that can come with the holiday season. A big thank you The House of Hormones and em&co for collaborating with us on that. Breathwork is something I personally find challenging—I tend to be a shallow breather—so it’s a skill I’m really keen to develop further in 2025. The session was incredibly calming, and I’m looking forward to practicing more throughout the year.

What’s Coming Up in 2025?

There’s so much to look forward to this year, and while I don’t want to spoil all the surprises, here’s a sneak peek at a few exciting things:

1. Finance Events

Next week, we’re kicking off with a financial planning and security workshop in collaboration with Location Location. It’s all about helping you gain confidence in managing your finances and planning for the future—something I know many of us want to get better at!

2. Mob Directory Launch

I’m thrilled to announce that we’re working on a Mob Directory, which we’re aiming to launch in February. This will be a brilliant way to shop from amazing mums in our community and support their businesses. If you’re a mum building a business, this will be a fantastic opportunity to get your name out there and connect with others. Stay tuned for more details!

3. A Big June Event

While I can’t say too much just yet, we’re planning something special for June—a big event that will bring together our wonderful community in a really exciting way. More on that soon!

4. Thriving Blog & WhatsApp Community

The Mums Who Build blog is looking better than ever, with some incredible guest bloggers lined up. We’ve also got a thriving WhatsApp community, where exclusive events like the CEO Club and Pitch It Club are helping mums build, grow, and achieve their goals.

A Quick Update on Bex

I know many of you have been wondering how Bex, my co-founder, is doing. She’s doing brilliantly! With baby number two in tow, she’s fully embracing motherhood while pouring her creativity into her art. She’s been producing some stunning pieces, so if you want to check out what she’s been up to, here’s a link to her recent Instagram post.

While she’s taking a break from Mums Who Build right now, she remains incredibly supportive of everything we’re doing. We’re hoping to welcome her back later this year—no fixed date yet, but we’ll keep you posted!

Looking Ahead

As we dive into 2025, I want to say a huge thank you to each and every one of you for being part of this amazing community. Building a life and future you love while navigating motherhood is no small feat, and I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished together.

I’ll be back with another blog update at the end of the month, but in the meantime, I hope you’re feeling inspired to set some exciting goals for the year ahead. If you have any questions or ideas, feel free to email me at mobster@mumswhobuild.com or drop me a DM on Instagram. I’d love to hear from you!

Here’s to an incredible 2025 filled with growth, community, and building the future we want—together.

Thanks, mobsters!

Georgie
